Gilded Raqs Belly Dance Festival 2026

This upcoming weekend is the Gilded Raqs Belly Dance Festival in San Jose, CA. This is a very fun event filled with performances, workshops (including affordable mini workshops), and of course belly dance shopping as well.

One of the highlights of this festival for me is the dancer interviews. Experienced local belly dancers are interviewed onstage about their careers and it is so great to hear their stories.

I am performing both Saturday and Sunday, full details, including map to the venue, on my Shows Page!

I hope to see some of you there for this fun weekend. Until then, here is my student troupe’s performance at Gilded Raqs 2025. (Click here for video if you are reading on email).

Under The Big Top

I’m so proud of all my students who performed in the Better Together Dance Theatre year-end showcase, Under The Big Top. This year we had three belly dance classes each performing their own number in the show. And we were thrilled to partner with one of the child classes for a lovely mother-daughter moment on stage. We performed two sold out shows at the Carlmont Performing Arts Center in Belmont, CA, and as always it was an inspirational weekend celebrating dance and theatre arts. We were so honored to be part of the show!

Belly Dance Class Update!

My Intermediate class in Belmont chose to focus on zills this term and they have made such fantastic progress. They sound amazing. Here is a sneak peak of a routine they will be performing next week in our annual Better Together Adult Holiday Dance Showcase:

Classes are now enrolling for January 2026! Check out my Classes page and come dance with us!

Performance at Al Masri Egyptian Restaurant

On Saturday 11/1 I’m performing at Al Masri Egyptian Restaurant in San Francisco! The show starts and 7PM and there will be live music with the Arabian Passion Band. A couple of my students will also be performing to live music for the first time so I am very excited! Join us for a wonderful night of belly dance at Al Masri!
